An intensive two day workshop designed to transfer the technology of the applied Lean manufacturing methodologies to the students. The objective of the course is to teach attendees “how to” complete a Lean business transformation in their factory. Beginning with a review of current manufacturing systems, the workshop walks the delegates through a series of systematic, project oriented steps for transforming their company from a traditional planning and production order based system into a Lean operating system. Working together in a team format, classroom lecture sessions are punctuated by three hands-on break out sessions that allow students the opportunity to practice the techniques learned in class. The final break-out session lets students simulate the design of their own Lean factory using actual data from a real factory Lean line design.
The workshop consists of 7 separate sessions with over 250 colorful PowerPoint illustrations that bring the concepts of a Lean line design to life for the student. These illustrations also make a beautiful handout for taking personal notes during the presentation and serve as a useful reference document once the student is back at work in their own facility.
In addition to the classroom presentation, a sponsoring company will receive the complete PowerPoint presentation that can be used for future Lean training sessions by their own internal staff members.
